Anyone have any information on Diana Queen of the Chase SC-R Ser# 42-102393. Any information on aircrew or ground crew would be appreciated. I have information of the ground crew. Crew chief was Crisman (first name unkown), Hanna (first name Unkown), Vic (last name unkown) and Bob Johnson ( my father). I have a photo of the aircrew and ground crew but no names for the aircrew.

1. If you go to this site's home page then site map then History of the 401st Bomb Group' subcategory 'assigned aircraft, you'll find 'SC-R' was assigned to the 612 Squadron. That may help lead to finding 612SQ crewmen (air and/or ground) involved with that plane (and in your photos).

2. Regarding finding (air and/or ground) crew members relating to that aircraft, please join - if you're not already - the 401BG as an Associate member and get your photos in the newsletter 'Poop From the Group'.  This may even further help find those who knew of or worked with your father.

The crew chief of this ship was Darwin Crisman, who is a member of the 401st BG Association. I will send you his address by e-mail.
By going to the History Page of the web site and clicking on Aircraft, you will find a list of the 401st aircraft. Click on the Serial Number of Diana, Queen of the Chase, and you will find a list of the missions flown and the crews who flew it.

My father, Kenneth Moore, was a gunner on the air crew.  I too am interested in learning more.  I have been all over the internet and this is the best site. You should join and come to the reunion meeting.
I will be there trying to learn more.

My uncle was a ball turret gunner on the Diana Queen of the Chase.  His name is John Jedziniak.  Do you have any information on this plane or pictures of the crew.  I do have a crew picture also.

Also, my Dad painted the Diana Queen of the chase nose art.  One crew memeber is still alive in South FL as of JUne 2008.

Thanks
