I am trying to learn more about my grandfather, Clayton Allen Scott. I know that he was stationed at Deenethorpe during WWII as either a Lt. Colonel or Colonel, and that he received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for his actions following the B-17 crash. If anyone knew him or can provide information about what he did while stationed there, I would be deeply indebted. I am also interested in knowing more about the crash.
Thankyou

I seem to remember being told that he was a pilot and flew missions. Does anyone know anything about this?
