Sunday, May 8th, 2005, (May 7th) sixty years since Germany surrendered to the Allies and the war declared ended. Not much in the papers or on TV except for the History Channel.
I am the son of Bill Erzar of Ely, MN, who was a ball turret gunner with the Bill Tobin crew in the 614th.
I just want to say THANK YOU to all of you for what you sacrificed as you helped preserve freedom in the world.
The world owes a great appreciation of your service.
