I just recieved 6 pages of my fathers DD214 pages and I am trying to make sense of the medals and awards he won.. Is there someone who knows all the Air Force abreviations and can help me figure out what they mean?

Dear Mrs. Sheflin,
First allow me to express my condolences on the loss of your father.  My grandfather was a member of the 401st which is why I visit this site.  Secondly, I am a former USAF Military Personnel Specialist and would be happy to help in any way I can.  Just e-mail me any questions you may have.  Best of luck finding what you are looking for.
Sincerely,
Will Scott

I just want to thank those who have answered our call for help in deciphering our father's information. He was an amazing man and every bit of data we receive just makes him more so. My sister, Jackie, has put in a lot of hours and hard work, so every bit of help is very much appreciated. From our whole family, Thank You very much.

Thank you for your condolences on the loss of our father. He is greatly missed by all of us. My fathers last years in the AF were also spent in Personel and it was a job he enjoyed.

Scott was able to help me with some of the Abreviations, but there were some that were hard to read on the faxed copy.

Can you please send your email address to:
Mabear100@aol.com

Thank you for your offer of help. I just recieved his 6 DD214's yesterday and these copies are much easier to read than the faxed copy I had last week.

Thank you in advance.
