I have fragments of info (Macr 4015 and aircraft 239820 -Pilot Lt. Samuel Wilson)gleaned from various sources. Plane was downed over Hanover either Apr. 11/44 or Apr.13/44.  Any further actual details would certainly be appreciated.  The Eighth Air Force Historical Society and N.Y. Southern Wing Chapter have been helpful by providing the above.

M.L Hixon I am grateful to you for your posting of info. on  our planes last mission 4/11/44. We were shot down in Hanover area on return from our 18/19th mission by flak All of us got out via parachute with #3 ablaze & unextighishable.  Later were imprisioned at Stalag #1 [Barth, Ger] with enlisted men going to other POW camps.  Reunited at Camp Lucky Strike [France] & returned stateside individually via ships, after which contact between us was lost until mid 80's when retired in Ind. I learned of enlisted mens reunion in Mich. & attended to meet with them. Subsequently moved to Fla. @ lost contact once again, until this month when an aquaintance informed me of this e-mail site. Do not have any updated info. on the crews whereabouts of o            ur co-pilot "Skeets Gattis [from Texas] or "Red" Sudakov {from Chicago] Now that I'm aware of this resource will definitely remain in touch.
