ive been away to long, its really important i taljk to anyone who knows of the d-day dottie. i need nose art from that plane, you guys and gals have been great and sorry for staying away so long. if there is any body eles....or just anybody.....kgrusso66@yahoo.com if i don't get back here. so far my dad is still alive, 81 years old. i would love to build a b-17G like that plane. it was a G right?

Yes it was a B-17G with a total of 61 missions and was returned to the US in 1945 to Kimgmans for scrapping.

To answer your question about the "D Day Dottie" and the nose art. According to the last 2 survivors of my Dad's crew , whom I contacted last year, the Dottie had no nose art at all. The men could not agree on what it should be and when they were last on the Dottie during the war...she had no nose art of any kind.
