This new section of our web site is intended to inform the public of current and upcoming 401st Bomb Group Association historical research activities.
Our board of directors recently approved a fund raising effort to collect $7000 to purchase copies of historical documents from the Air Force Historical Research Agency (AFHRA) and National Archives Record Administration (NARA). These documents will allow us to identify the specific aircraft and men that flew each mission. There are men who served in the 401st who are not currently honored in our crew listings because we lack this information. We have hopes that additional information regarding ground personnel may be included within these materials also.

Our association and web site are dedicated to honoring the men who served in the 401st Bomb Group and preserving their memories. We are always in need of pictures, diaries and documents to help us tell the stories of the 401st Bomb Group. Please review our web site and provide us with missing information such as crew photos, aircraft serial numbers, and nicknames of aircraft that you may have.
