Summary: This mission attacked coastal batteries in the Pas de Calais as part of the (successful) effort to convince the Germans that the invasion would take place in that area rather than in Normandy. Bombing was conducted through clouds by PFF (radar), but strikes were observed through the clouds. Some flak was encountered, but none of the 401st aircraft were damaged.
