Summary: The 401st furnished three 12 ship Boxes, making up the 94th Combat Wing "B' unit. The briefed primary target, an aircraft engine factory on the outskirts of Stuttgart, was abandoned due to cloud cover. However the secondary target, a Luftwaffe airfield, was attacked with good results. All three Boxes bombed visually, a high percentage of bombs dropping within 1,000 feet of the MPI. There was no enemy air opposition, and none of the Group's aircraft suffered battle damage.
