Summary: The primary target for this mission was to have been the Focke-Wolf and Henschel aircraft factories located on the outskirts of Berlin. However, when the formation reached the Danish coast it found a wall of high clouds in its path, and a Recall message was received to turn back. All aircraft returned with their bombs. The 401st provided the complete 94th Combat Wing "A" formation. Some flak was encountered over the German-occupied part of the Danish Peninsula.
